babysitting referral service

When I was at a wedding in Tulsa this past weekend, the family got a babysitting service that is a national chain with an office in the Houston area. I was really impressed with the babysitters, and I looked them up here. Their pricing is very reasonable, and I recommend them. It's called seekingsitters.com. You can either pay per referral, which could get expensive, or a low monthly fee ($8 per month). The actual cost of the sitter is just a little more than what you would pay for a local teenager, and you get someone who is over 18 and has an extensive background check, at least according to the website. It is a fair rate, so you get a good value. If I didn't have a fabulous sitter already, as well as local family, I would definitely sign up. It is nerve wracking to not have a babysitter available for things like doctors appointments or the occasional night out, and that $8 takes that stress away. I just wanted to share this resource for any other moms who are where I was a couple months ago, looking for a reliable sitter and not knowing anyone personally that seemed like a good fit.
