Our replacement diaper is ruined. It's the same problem as the last one that broke; the elastic on the left side lost its elasticity and now there is a gaping hole around the leg. Since this was a free replacement, I don't know if I'll go through the process to try to get this one replaced. I should, I know, but good grief. If this is what happens I don't want another one. If I sewed, I would fit it myself, although I can't do any more harm to try. Ugh. If you want a pocket cloth diaper (a great intro cloth diaper) just go with Bum Genius.

Man! I am so sorry you have had problems with them! I own 24 small fuzzi bunz and 24 med fuzzi bunz...and though Ive had occasional leak issues (when I've needed to size up or had soap build up), I have LOVED them. Same 48 are going strong on their 4th year in use.
Does make me curious about BG though! Can you explain the "hook and loop" closure for me? And are they velcro? I was just getting ready to buy a few more diapers since we gave some of ours to a friend and was just going to buy fb, but Im curious now!
Yeah, I've never had a really good experience with a pocket diaper. They always fail on me eventually, but I'm surprised because I've heard good things about FBs. At least you got some extra life with the replacement! :)
Yeah, the hook and loop is just a silly name for velcro, but it is a tighter weave so it is very soft. It isn't scratchy like, say, the velcro on his shoes. It has held up great in the washer and dryer, better than I expected.
If you've had good success with FB, then I would stay with them. Their new liners are much more absorbent and thicker. I think you sew, right, Mel? If so, then FB would be fine. I just don't recommend FB for people who are new to cloth diapers, not anymore. It is possible that I just randomly got two defected ones out of a bunch of good ones.
gotcha, thanks! I do sew some, but I'm not sure well enough to fix a broken elastic...weird, I hope that never happens!
